This is normal when you are doing business, so don't freak out when it's your turn. Almost everybody will, unfortunately, experience this once or twice. A bad delivery, a miscalculation or a flaw in one of your products could be enough to receive bad feedback. But it's not about the bad news, it is about what you do with it.

Some companies will try to avoid places where the bad news about them shows up. They're just sticking their heads in the sand and are only making things worse. When you do this, you could just as easily deny that the critic is true. People aren't stupid. When you would act like this, it will only strengthen the opinion of your customers.

Instead of avoiding it, you should show your face at the places where people are criticizing you or your company. This shows that you are either admitting the problem -what shows that you have character-, or it lets people see that you are working on a solution. It lets your customers feel that their opinion matters, it makes them feel involved. Don't try to hide, show your face!

What could you do when you are being criticized?
- Open a conversation in forums where the critic is being discussed.
- Start an AdWords campaign on keywords like 'Problem + Your company name'.
- Start a bannering and/ or advertising campaign on authority websites in your niche .
- Send out a press release where you admit the problem and state that you are working on it.

These are just a couple of options, you can fill in some more. When it happens to you, you know what to do. Good luck.

What is eMarketing?

As this being the first post, I think it will be appropriate to give a defenition for eMarketing.

eMarketing is moving elements of marketing strategies and activities to a computerized, networked environment such as the Internet.
